Syracuse Jazz Fest in Syracuse
Syracuse Jazz Fest, founded and long led by presenter Frank Malfitano, ran annually from 1982 through 2017 before a multi-year hiatus and a 2022 return, and is billed as the Northeast's largest free jazz festival. Programming mixes major touring jazz names with regional artists across a schedule held in the Syracuse area each summer.
Its long-running identity and free public programming make it a solid music row.
