Moondance Jam in Walker
Moondance Jam is a classic rock festival held near Walker, Minnesota, on the shores of Leech Lake, running since 1992 and long billed as Minnesota's largest rock festival. Multiple days of national touring acts play alongside a large on-site campground spread across roughly 300 acres. In April 2026 the venue was acquired by the hospitality company 47 North, and as of this research the future schedule beyond that announcement had not been publicly detailed.
Moondance Jam began in 1992 as a small gathering organized by Bill and Kathy Bieloh, who were looking for a way to promote the horseback riding stables they owned near Walker, Minnesota, on the shores of Leech Lake.
