Washington National Cathedral Flower Mart in Washington
All Hallows Guild has held Flower Mart on the Washington National Cathedral grounds on the first Friday and Saturday of May since 1939. Plant and flower sales, garden-focused vendors, performances and children's rides or activities join the large White Elephant sale, turning shopping and recreation into direct landscape support. The recurring practices—first-Friday-and-Saturday May market, plant sales and garden fundraising, and White Elephant sale and family activities—tie the public program to the place and the people who sustain it.
Flower stalls spread across the cathedral close while families circle on a carousel and gardeners choose plants beneath Gothic towers.
