Oglebay Festival of Lights in Wheeling
The Oglebay Festival of Lights transforms Oglebay Resort in Wheeling into a six-mile driving and walking display of more than one million LED lights across over one hundred installations. Running nightly from mid-November through early January, it is one of the largest holiday light shows in the United States.
Oglebay Festival of Lights traces its start to 1985, when displays for the show were built in part through a local high school's welding and wood-shop programs, a hands-on beginning that gave the event a distinctly homegrown, community-built character from its first season.
