Robbers Cave Fall Festival in Wilburton
The Robbers Cave Fall Festival, also promoted as The Original Fall Festival at Robbers Cave, fills Robbers Cave State Park near Wilburton, Oklahoma each mid-October with more than 200 arts and crafts vendors, a carnival, and live music. Its Saturday highlight, the Fall Foliage Cruise, brings out 450 to 500 pre-1987 classic and custom cars and trucks. The three-day event now draws tens of thousands of visitors to the San Bois foothills.
Robbers Cave State Park sits in the San Bois Mountains of southeastern Oklahoma near Wilburton, a landscape of sandstone outcrops and dense hardwood forest that, according to regional lore, once sheltered outlaws hiding from law enforcement in 19th-century Indian Territory.
