Each summer, the Blues Ranch outside Winthrop, Washington, in the Methow Valley, hosts the Winthrop Rhythm and Blues Festival, the largest and longest-running blues festival in the state. Over roughly four decades the three-day gathering has drawn more than 80,000 attendees for national and regional blues acts on an outdoor stage beside the Methow River.
