Yosemite Facelift is a five-day volunteer stewardship gathering created in 2004 by climber and Yosemite Climbing Association founder Ken Yager in cooperation with the National Park Service. Volunteers register, receive current safety and project guidance, then collect litter or join approved work such as trail and habitat care; staff also teach participants how to distinguish modern trash from archaeological material that must remain in place.
