Fest'Napuan in Port Vila
Fest'Napuan is Vanuatu's largest annual music festival, staged at Saralana Park and Stage in Port Vila since the mid-1990s, showcasing contemporary Pacific and Melanesian music, from string bands to reggae to island pop, with performers drawn from across Vanuatu and the wider Pacific region each year.
In the years after Vanuatu built its Cultural Centre and National Museum, a new kind of public gathering took root in Port Vila's Saralana Park: a free, open-air music festival that would grow into the largest of its kind in the country.
