Sinh Village Wrestling Festival in Hue
The Sinh Village Wrestling Festival is a traditional wrestling celebration more than 400 years old, held each year on the tenth day of the first lunar month in Sinh Village, about 7.5 kilometers from downtown Hue, Vietnam. Dating to the era of the Nguyen Lords, the festival is open to everyone, men, women, and children, locals and visitors alike, who wish to register and compete.
On the tenth day of the first lunar month each year, early spring by the lunar calendar, Sinh Village, a short distance outside downtown Hue, holds a wrestling festival that has run in some form for more than four hundred years.
