Bene Mukuni Ceremony in Livingstone/Mukuni Village
Bene Mukuni is the traditional ceremony of the Toka-Leya people held at Mukuni village, close to Livingstone and Victoria Falls in Zambia's Kazungula District. Presided over by Chief Mukuni, it is held in both July and December and centers on Toka-Leya royal and ancestral heritage in one of Zambia's most visited cultural villages.
Mukuni village, a few kilometers from Victoria Falls and the city of Livingstone in Zambia's Kazungula District, is home to the Toka-Leya people and their chief, Chief Mukuni.
